TRAINING AND RACE HIGHLIGHTS
Behind every World Cup dream are thousands of gym sessions, training runs, free-ski days, and fun with teammates and coaches. Here’s a look inside the life of a young American ski racer building a future in the world’s most competitive junior system.
From Colorado beginnings to Austrian precision,
this is where the work becomes a story worth watching.
Daniel Fatzinger - American born alpine ski racer living and training in Austria. Highlights from GS training in Zermatt, Switzerland, August 2025.
Ski racing is loud. There’s a lot of cold metal things on ice. Lots of drills and heavy machinery around. There’s hands and pads and helmets crashing into gates. Coaches speaking in German, and sometimes parents yelling in all different languages.

This highlight film captures a season of growth for junior alpine racer Daniel Fatzinger. It was filmed across Austria and Switzerland during Slalom, Giant Slalom, and SuperG training blocks, race weekends, and exploration days in the mountains he now calls home. Every frame in this video reflects the values that guide his journey. Early mornings on frozen tracks. Glacier training at Zermatt. Team sessions. Race days in winter storms. Quiet moments that remind you why young athletes fall in love with this sport. This is the story of a kid who works hard, dreams big, and never stops exploring. Snow Knows No Borders.™
“I know how lucky I am. I’m an American kid getting to chase a ski racing dream in Austria. Every day I try to work hard, stay grateful, and become someone who gives back…to the sport I love and to everyone who’s helped me along the way.”
